Published GEO agency retainers run from about $2,500 to about $15,000 a month in 2026, and custom programmes go well beyond that. We read the prices of 11 agencies on their own websites on 4 November 2026: their entry prices have a median of $4,600 a month, and ten of the eleven start at $6,000 or less. First Page Sage, an agency that also publishes a pricing study, reports a median retainer of $6,850 across 214 agencies. Verticality publishes this guide and charges $2,500, $4,500 or $7,500 a month, month-to-month. We compare published prices here, not delivery: we have not tested the work of any agency named below.

How much does a GEO agency cost per month?

Expect three figures, each measuring something different.

  • Entry prices on agency websites: $2,500 to $6,000 a month for ten of the eleven agencies below, median $4,600. First Page Sage reports $4,500 for its own group of nine pricing pages, close to our figure.
  • What buyers pay across all deals: a $6,850 median in First Page Sage’s study. It compiled 1,146 price quotes from published pages, client proposals and signed contracts between 6 July and 2 October 2026. Entry prices sit lower because, in its words, “pricing pages tend to lead with entry tiers”.
  • Top of the market: First Page Sage’s enterprise tier runs from $22,000 to $60,000+ a month. Omniscient Digital says its engagements average $250,000 to $500,000 a year.

That study is the largest dataset we found, but it comes from an agency with a retainer of its own to sell, and nobody outside can check its proposals and contracts. Use it to judge scale and use published price lists for the actual comparison. It also puts GEO and AEO retainers 45% above its $4,740 median for traditional SEO.

Which GEO agencies publish their prices, and what do they charge?

We checked the agencies named in AI answers, pricing guides and search results for this question, plus those in our GEO agency roundup. This is not a census. The label varies (GEO, AEO, AI SEO, AI search), and so does the bundle: some of these prices include classic SEO. Every figure below came from the agency’s own website on 4 November 2026.

The median of $4,600 uses the lowest monthly figure of the eleven US-dollar agencies, leaving out Verticality as the publisher and Archipel because it prices in euros. Omniscient’s yearly floor counts as $10,000 a month.

Which GEO agencies do not publish a price?

Siege Media, iPullRank, Graphite, Go Fish Digital, Directive, Animalz, Omnius, Relevance, Victorious and Thrive show no GEO price on the service pages we read on 4 November 2026. Victorious explains its reasoning in one line: “We scope after the audit”. Treat figures for these agencies in third-party guides as estimates. One widely cited guide, itself written by an agency, labels most of its numbers “Directional”, meaning a market estimate “rather than an official rate card”.

What does each price level buy?

Price rises mostly with volume, not with a different method. Archipel says so plainly: “what changes is the number of prompts, countries, languages and engines”. Published plans give a sense of the steps:

  • About $2,500: Verticality’s Baseline tracks 50 prompts and restructures up to 3 pages a month. Embarque’s Starter delivers about 15 pages a month in one subfolder.
  • About $5,000: Red-engage’s Starter ($4,500) includes 5 GEO articles a month. RevenueZen’s Growth tier adds schema work to 6 articles and 5 page refreshes. Digital Elevator’s Foundation tier includes 4 link placements a month and an earned media campaign in month 2.
  • About $7,000 to $8,500: RevenueZen’s Accelerate ($7,000) adds 4 links a month to 8 articles. Red-engage’s Growth ($7,000) has 8 articles and monthly refreshes.
  • $10,000 to $15,000: Red-engage’s Enterprise ($14,000) adds PR, YouTube and LinkedIn work, with weekly reporting. RevenueZen’s Total Market ($15,000) reaches 12 to 15 or more articles a month and monthly AI visibility audits.

First Page Sage’s study draws the same ladder from its wider data. Note its finding that output grows more slowly than price, because the upper tiers add PR, multi-market work and senior staff.

Tier in the studyTypical clientMonthly rangeMedianTypical minimum term
StarterLocal and small businesses$1,800–$4,200$2,9503 months

AdvancedUpper mid-market companies$11,000–$22,000$14,6006 months
EnterpriseLarge enterprises$22,000–$60,000+$31,50012 months

The same study reports a wide gap by sector, from a $3,190 median for home services to $9,850 for financial services.

What does the monthly price leave out?

Off-site work is the usual gap, and third-party citations are often what the engines rely on. These extras were on published price lists on 4 November 2026:

  • Off-site budget outside the retainer: DerivateX quotes $1,000 to $3,000 a month by tier, on top of the fee.
  • Links and mentions as an add-on: Percepture charges $1,000 to $1,600 a month, and Red-engage $800 to $1,200 for off-site articles.
  • Digital PR: Percepture’s starts at $4,500 a month on top of the plan.
  • Links left out of a tier: RevenueZen lists link building as not included on several tiers.
  • Tracking software: usually bundled, but ask. Archipel notes that a tool bought directly can cost up to €4 to €5 per tracked prompt.

A one-off audit is a separate question. Of 86 AI answers we read, 49 quote $1,500 to $5,000 for one, and published prices do sit in that range: Red-engage $2,500, DerivateX $3,500. Others, including Archipel, Digital Elevator and Verticality, offer theirs free as the way in. What an audit should contain has its own guide.

How much do you commit before you can stop?

Compare the committed total, not the monthly figure. We multiplied each entry plan by its minimum term, using the terms on each agency’s site on 4 November 2026.

PlanMinimum termCommitted before you can stop
Verticality Baseline30 days’ written notice, no feeAbout $2,500
Archipel entry plan6 months€5,940
Embarque Starter3 months, paid upfront$7,500
Reddireach AI search3 months$15,000
DerivateX Rank & Get Found90-day pilot$15,000, plus $3,000–$3,600 off-site budget
Digital Elevator Foundation4 months$20,000
Breaking B2B Silver, 6-month price6 months$39,000
Breaking B2B Light12 months$55,200

A longer term is not a bad sign in itself. Digital Elevator says its minimum exists because the work is front-loaded, and Archipel calls six months the realistic time to build visibility. But the term sets how much you lose if the work does not move your numbers. Whether that risk is worth taking at your size is covered in is GEO worth it for small brands, and how soon you can judge results in how long GEO takes.

What can a $5,000 monthly budget buy?

One category, a limited set of buyer questions and some off-site work, without a large content programme. These published plans fit inside $5,000 all-in, as of 4 November 2026:

  • Verticality Programme, $4,500: 100 prompts, up to 5 pages a month, Reddit participation in up to 6 communities, a fortnightly call.
  • Red-engage Starter, $4,500: 5 GEO articles a month. One off-site article at $800 takes it to $5,300.
  • Percepture Launch, from $3,500: adding its link and mention option at $1,000 makes $4,500.
  • Embarque Engine, $4,995: about 40 pages a month, with $14,985 paid upfront.
  • RevenueZen Growth, $5,000: 6 articles, 5 refreshes and schema work, without link building.
  • Digital Elevator Foundation, $5,000: 4 link placements a month, with a 4-month minimum.

Some $5,000 plans do not fit. DerivateX’s first tier needs $1,000 to $1,200 a month in off-site budget on top, and the agency works only with B2B SaaS companies from $5M ARR. A niche consultancy should check fit before price.

The engines split on this question. On 4 November 2026, Google’s AI Overview for a B2B consultancy with $5k a month advised in-house or hybrid work over a premium agency, and Perplexity suggested a “fixed-scope pilot at $3,500–$5,000/month”. ChatGPT recommended a 90-day programme with a specialist partner. All three treat third-party mentions as part of the budget. Whichever route you take, keep part of it for that work.

Why do AI answers quote different numbers?

They repeat whichever pricing articles they retrieved, so the range is not a measurement. We read 86 answers to “How much does a GEO agency cost?” collected daily from 6 October to 4 November 2026 on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.

  • Perplexity opened with $3,000 to $20,000 in 15 of 30 answers. All 15 cite one agency’s pricing article, which gives that same range.
  • Google AI Overviews most often said $1,500 to $25,000 (6 of 27).
  • ChatGPT gave $1,000 as the floor in 12 of 29 answers, the last on 28 October, then $1,500 to $2,500 from 30 October.
  • The $6,850 median appears in 15 answers, and most give it without saying that an agency produced it.

Treat these as what AI answers repeat, not as a market survey. The figures that hold up are the ones you can open on an agency’s own site.

What does Verticality charge?

Three tiers, month-to-month with no minimum term. Cancelling takes 30 days’ written notice, with no fee. Full scopes are on our pricing page and the GEO programme page.

Every tier includes a monthly check of AI Mode, Gemini, Claude and Copilot, plus the baseline audit, source map, entity and schema work. Work sold as AEO, LLM SEO or AI SEO sits inside the same $2,500–$7,500 range. First signals come in 2–6 weeks, with off-site citations compounding by month 3–6. Pricing Reddit on its own is a separate question: see Reddit marketing agency pricing and Reddit Ads cost and benchmarks.

How do you find the right number for your brand?

The tier depends on how many buyer questions matter to you and who holds the sources the engines cite today, and you can measure both. Our audit is free and starts with a 30-minute call: a prompt set of 50–200 questions, a baseline report by day 10 and a ranked work plan by day 15. Book the free audit, and use its findings to compare any quote on this page.
